The services and assistance I have received from the Tampa office of
used CART to this point at USF. I use some sign language, but since
my hearing loss onset was as an adult, CART is the preferred method
for me over an ASL interpreter. I will also say Gayl Hardeman and her
providers have been an asset to services at USF. Gayl helped to set
up remote CART and CART through Eluminate which was great. This is
essential for distance learning synchronous sessions. Chris

It is with utmost pleasure that I highly recommend
Mrs. Hardeman. She is not only one of the leading
CART providers in the country, but she is also an
incredible, sensitive person.
I cannot tell you how stressed out I was before
meeting Mrs. Hardeman because I was having a
great difficulty following my classes and I was
missing so much information. As a CART provider,
Mrs. Hardeman provided me with an excellent,
reliable service. For my statistics class, she was
very punctual for EVERY class, and ALWAYS had
class was highly academic, yet she provided me
with very accurate captions that were perfectly
synchronized with my professor voice/lectures.
Her expertise was at such great level, that even
she procured also special notes (i.e., the
professor changing to another transparency,
professor pointing at specific material, directing
my attention to book's pages) that were of great
help when later I had to review the transcripts.
As you know, one can become extremely isolated.
When my counselor arranged for me to have
CART, I was expecting just to have notes.
However, Mrs. Hardeman was so professional, so
knowledgeable and so caring, that she also
helped me become more proactive and involved
in class.

finance are extremely helpful when working on
finance outside of class.
If you haven't heard, I am passing Calculus with
flying colors. I earned an 80 on my first test and a
whopping 95 on the second. This is miraculous to
